☞ WALK: More Filming in West Harlem
While doing some follow-up research in the area, we noticed that both sides of Tiemann Place in Manhattanville were lined with film crew. A production person on hand mentioned that the movie was called Premium Rush and that they were filming Joseph Gordon-Levitt (from Inception) and Dania Ramirez (of Entourage). The movie is apparently an action-thriller which starts out when a bike messenger picks up a package at Columbia University and cops intervene. Anyways, if you see filming around West Harlem, this is probably what's happening. Photo by Ulysses

Also shooting USA network's "White Collar" on Lenox.
ReplyDeleteOutside Lenox Lounge.
ReplyDeleteIt's been described as "Speed on a bike." They have been filming on 145th between Broadway and Amsterdam as well.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's right outside my apartment building. I've been a big fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt for a long time, so I'm excited! According to IMDB, it also stars Aasif Mandvi and Aaron Tveit, among others.
ReplyDeleteThere's another film going on for a couple weeks now at W 152nd & Bradhurst. They had a fire truck there.
ReplyDeletePremium Rush was being filmed on 6th ave and 40th street ( the scene where the messenger runs full speed into a taxi). It was awesome watching it from Bryant Park. Interestingly enough, I will get to watch the movie and see scenes of my beloved neighborhood, Harlem.
