☞ DWELL: 207 West 139th Street Sold in August
It took a year to sell and several price chops but the 19 foot wide townhouse at 207 West 139th finally sold in August. The landmark 4,100 square foot McKim, Mead and White designed home had a total of 10 rooms, 7 bedrooms, original details and a 2-car garage but was listed in poor condition. The property was also apparently still technically a rooming house. Initial asking prices were pretty lofty at $1.5 million and was finally reduced to $1.09 million at the beginning of 2010. The Strivers Row home went into contract in March and just sold for $930K. Did anyone get to see the interior? Photo by Ulysses

Wow. That's like zero money for that building unless it needs all new mechanicals.
ReplyDeleteI saw it. You could not get into the garage because there was so much garbage in the doorway between the house and the garage. Main floor was ok. Second floor (could only see half because someone was in one of the rooms) was ok, third floor had holes in the wall. Needs new kitchen and bathrooms.
