☞ DWELL: 423 West 141st Street in Contract
The 20 foot wide, single-family townhouse, on the corner of 141st Street and Hamilton Terrace, was asking for $1.7 million back in May and is now in contract after several price chops. We mentioned previously that the depth of the lot falls short at 58.5 feet with no garden in sight but the 3,440 square foot home has six working fireplaces, sits on a corner facing St. Nicholas Park and has lots of interior details. The property eventually had $400K taken off and the contract was signed last week based on the current asking price of $1.3 million. This landmark building is located at the start of the Hamilton Heights Historic District at Hamilton Terrace but is a good 5-6 blocks away from the express A,B,C,D train at 145th street. Other than that, not much else happening at this residential neck of West Harlem

Love the sconce lighting in the parlor and the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. A 20 footer and a corner building. What's not to love? Well, lack of a garden, but still. . .
ReplyDeleteGreat home !! The lighting and original frames are really stunning !! hummmmmm !
ReplyDeletethe kitchen/basement was a mess. In addition, the stairs going down to it had ductwork running across. Needed new bathrooms and general work. Plus, it's on a very steep plot.
