☞ EAT: La Fonda Boricua in East Harlem
Ever since notable chef Bobby Flay lost his "throw down" at La Fonda Boricua in East Harlem, many have been curious to drop by and try out the Arroz con Pollo (chicken and yellow rice dish) that received all the publicity. There's a whole lot of Puerto Rican home cooking at 169 East 106th Street (between 3rd & Lexington Avenue) but don't expect to get a menu or prices upfront. It's definitely no frills and sometimes service is spotty but most place it on their must-visit list after the eatery's national television challenge. www.FondaBoricua.com

Have been eating there for many many years. You go for the delicious Puerto Rican food not the service. It's even better when they have music, delicious food for the stomach and delicious music for the soul.
