The Harlem Chamber Players will perform Mozart's 'Grand Partita" and Gounod's Petite Symphony with guest conductor Michael Spierman, founder and director of the Bronx Opera as part of their "Music at St. Mary's" chamber music series in Harlem. Mozart's masterpiece for winds features music heard in the film "Amadeus".
The concert takes place Sunday November 14th at 3:00 PM at the historic St. Mary's Episcopal Church, located at 521 West 126th Street (between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue). Tickets are $15 ($10 for students and seniors) and are available at the door or online at www.harlemchamberplayers.org.
I will be there -- and I'm delighted to support any fine arts initiative in Harlem.
