☞ REVIVE: New Hunter Building Getting Glassed

Another one of those projects that are coming along really quickly is the new Hunter College School of Social Work building at Third Avenue and the corner of 119th Street. The 8-story, $135 million building which anchors a large parcel on the East 119th south side of the block was just starting to rise at the beginning of summer and now all of the facades are finishing up.  We walked by this weekend and got a few photos of the corner tower and the 119th Street side windows getting glassed.  The final completion date is set for September 2011 and they seem to be on schedule.  See our past post for the final sketch of the building and the initial stages: LINK.

  1. glad to see they saved money by hiring an architect with neither vision nor taste.
