☞ READ: The 125th Street Verizon Building Flip
It would seem that the New York Post followed up on our story about the Verizon building at 148 West 125th Street that sold for $190K last year and was flipped for $6.3 million recently. We didn't have all the details but today's Post discovers that it was all part of a 25 year lease set up in the 1980's with an option to buy the building for $190K after the lease expired. Harlem real estate was not worth that much back when the contract was established and thus the low number in last year's sale. It's still unclear what will become of the structure but at least the odd recent sales has been explained: LINK
