☞ SEE: Dandy Wellington in Harlem
When we posted on the Harlem stylist and self proclaimed "Dandy" Wellington a couple of months ago, a few readers were wondering why his long excursions to eat in the East Village was the focus and not uptown's own village: LINK. It now seems that Mr. Wellington has finally seen the light and has done a Time Out video on some of the places to go in Harlem (based on a link that he posted on Harlem Bespoke this weekend). We like the Dandy trend that's happening now but Mr. Wellington is definitely in competition with renowned Harlem historian Michael Henry Adams: LINK

Hmm... Dandy seems a bit like a poser. Adams is the real thing.
ReplyDeleteSugar hill beer is definitely not brewed in Harlem. Lame....
ReplyDeleteDandy is the real deal. Glad you featured him here. He's a man with many talents that lights up a room wherever he goes. As far as traveling downtown and out of the way to his favorite restaurant.. I can relate. Sometimes "your place" isn't in your own neighborhood. It doesn't mean you don't equally love your neighborhood's restaurants, it's just that theres something about "your place" that compels you to go out of your way. I've known Dandy for a few years now and he's all over the city. He's as much of an uptown boy as he is downtown one.
