☞ INTRODUCING: BBraxton to Return in 2011

We just received notice that Harlem's first luxury men's barber shop BBraxton will reopen again on January 11th of 2011.  The 116th Street location at 1400 5th Avenue has been closed for at least this past year and some have speculated that the men's grooming salon was just too expensive.  A quick look at their site reveals that some basic cuts are in the $20-$25+ range so the more simple services seem to be reasonable: LINK. Thoughts?

  1. Er, definitely willing to give these guys a go. Maybe a little harsh criticizing their prices after what I paid (and the result) of my last hair cut! (not at BBraxton).

  2. Why? Maybe they should contact N Boutique owners and do a mash up. I know David, the former owner of Emperor's Roe, and get him in the mix, along with the cigar fellow. Hence you can get a hair cut, buy a shirt, and dine on caviar all in a one stop shopping footprint, top it all off with a cigar! And who knows, maybe Brenda herself will come out and give a little of the Broadway magic in a singing and dancing performance? And when you're done and need to get to work, maybe we can find someone to drive you to your office....in a Bentley. Oh Mr. Dancy....

  3. I remember reading that BBraxton was doing fine but that there was a management problem or something. Apparently they offer mens' services that you can't get elsewhere.
And it is a much more pleasant retail space than it's neighbor DEAL$ which is getting messier and trashier by the day.

  4. Very over priced compared to average Harlem barber shop but marshal was there so that made it worthwhile don't know if I trust any other barbers she hired
