Things are starting to look a little more reasonable for the 18 foot wide, legal 2-family home at 259 West 137th Street (between FDB/8th and ACP/7th) which appears to have been completely gut renovated. The house was looking to sell for $2.9 million at the beginning of the year when it first entered the market but after several generous price cuts, the building is now almost $1 million less at the current $1.990 million asking price. The block is mostly lined with brownstones and there's apparently a car garage out back so the new asking looks a lot more realistic than that of 7 months ago. Apparently all the systems are upgraded and modern but we're not really feeling it for the kitchen and baths (go to above link for more photos).
