☞ BESPOKE: Artistic Fixes for an Open Lot
St. James Presbyterian Church at the corner of 141st and St. Nicholas came up with nice visual solution to covering up an open lot in the past few months. We're not sure what the gap between the church and the brownstones on that hill is all about but the chain link fence that gated in the overgrown lot wasn't an attractive addition to this picturesque corner at the cusp of West and Central Harlem. The lower photo shows the colorful tarp that has been placed up on the lot with few graphic flowers decorating the panels that remind us of stained glass motifs. There's a simple artistic quality to the white canvases that are, in our opinion, quite refreshing when one passes by them.
