☞ REVIVE: 145 West 123rd Street Starts Up
There's seems to be have been a bit of activity on the stalled construction site at 145 West 123rd Street as of late. We first reported on this lot adjacent to the mid-block church last March (top photo) but nothing seems have been going on until this past month. Walking by the fenced lot between Lenox and ACP/7th Avenue, one can see very brand new signs up regulating a no smoking and hard hat policy on the construction area. This piqued our interest and we took a closer look through the doorway crack and saw that the excavation equipment had recently arrived. Based on DOB files, the underpinning, shoring and sheeting of the foundation was given a permit about three weeks ago so it now looks like the new six-story apartment building will start rising on site in the next few months.

Probably want to get it done before the area is land marked!
ReplyDeletethey best be damn careful excavating next to that church and if the church has any sense they have motion monitors on those stained glass windows.
ReplyDeleteI hope this doesn’t end badly.
