☞ REVIVE: 315 West 126th Street
There are 2 lone houses with similar architecture standing several open lots away from one another just east of St. Nicholas and it looks like a new townhouse will be filling in the divide a little this year. At top, one can see No. 311 West 126th Street has a new neighbor rising next door at No. 315. Based on DOB permits, a 2-family dwelling has been approved for the lot and paperwork was filed as far back as 2 years ago. We imagine that the original line of townhouses all matched up to the two remaining ones on this half of the block but replicating this type of architecture is probably too expensive for entry level developers these days. It is sort of interesting that the new building will have a small front yard and does not line up with its next door neighbor.

I know its a bit soon to say but that is not an attractive building next to the Church. I know that only a small number of the original townhouses remain but really.
