☞ SEE: Victorian Tea at the Morris-Jumel Mansion
The Morris-Jumel Mansion Facebook site just released some photo of their winter Victorian Tea Party which was held this past weekend: LINK. We always admired the adult events at Manhattan's oldest mansion but the organization has also had some great children's theme weekend outings that are also educational. All guests had a lesson in proper tea party etiquette with cuisine that included cucumber sandwiches, fruit scones, Victorian trifle cake along with teas such as "Harney & Sons Paris, Harney & Sons Peach and 2nd Flush Darjeeling – all served with milk, sugar & lemon." Other activities included a reading of Teatime with with Emma Buttersnap, period dance lessons and a decoupage construction lesson. Check out the Morris-Jumel website for upcoming events at the home in the former Harlem Heights section of Manhattan: www.MorrisJumel.org
