☞ SHOP: New Awnings up at Lenox Supermarket
We have heard from readers that the new Pioneer supermarket at the Lenox condos might actually open in January and recently noticed that new awnings have just been placed up on the building at 129th Street (click image to enlarge). There was a bit of controversy when the new retailer was confirmed to be a more moderate brand seeing that there was a luxury car dealership previously occupying the space. Although not a Whole Foods or Trader Joes, the new storefront looks a lot better than most of the supermarkets in the city and a lot of square footage is a luxury in its own right. The brand new Pioneer on this block of Lenox Avenue will be affordable, new, clean and modern along with being substantial in size - can't really complain.
