☞ DWELL: 221 West 138th Sold in March
Public records released in March shows that the Strivers Row house in contract at 221 West 138th Street finally sold in March. The substantial 20 x 56 foot wide corner building with a former-stable-side-parking setup was asking for $1.499 million when first listed at the end of May 2010. It's been in contract since August of last year but the two-family house with 3,894 square foot of space did not close the deal until recently. This landmark house appears to have been an estate sale and the new owner got a slight discount with the closing landing at $1.325 million. There's not too many better retail options in the immediate residential area but St. Nicholas Park and the subway is only about two blocks west.
