☞ EAT: Bier International Opens for Lunch

Bier International at 2099 FDB/8th Avenue and West 113th Street has debuted lunch service as of Tuesday but we are more fascinated (and slightly disturbed) by some of the other specials that have been appearing as of recent.  At top are some photos via Twitter that shows the old German tradition of drinking out of a boot made of glass. Viewing the scale comparisons on display, this rather curious drinking custom would probably be for only the serious-minded beer drinkers. The Harlem beer garden has also been known to roast a whole pig on site last year as part of festivities so things constantly changes up at the popular and reasonably affordable watering hole.  There's a seared tuna Salade Nicoise that joined the lunch menu as of late but the newly added Mussels Provencale during dinner hours is a classic to look out for.
