☞ INTRODUCING: Panache at the Old Alhambra
Gospel Uptown at the Alhambra Theatre filed for bankruptcy last summer and it now looks like a new establishment has suddenly appeared at the site. A sidewalk shed up at ACP/7th Avenue and 126th Street had the announcement that Panache Supper Club was now open so it looks like business as usual but with a different name. The graphics so far (click on lower image to enlarge) and the name isn't really that exciting at this point but maybe a new facade renovation will help further move the concept along. Check out our past post for a historic view of the famous theatre: LINK

Hopefully the new owners have sense to make the place a club/lounge.
ReplyDeleteThat's about the only way the place is gonna turn a profit.
I don’t hold out much hope for this venture, the name Panache already sounds tacky and overpriced. I always envisioned a Dallas BBQ would work for this well located large space, which has proven itself popular downtown with Harlem’s majority demographic.
