☞ REVIVE: Construction Update at 235 St. Nich

All the excavation on the old gas station site at 235 St. Nicholas Avenue and 122nd Street last year uncovered a few gas tanks at the location but apparently nothing much had been done about it until now.  Those tanks were eventually covered back up but the lot has now been labeled a brownsfield by the city and equipment started showing up again this week.  So what's happening to the site now?  Check out the following photos...

Diggers have been at the gas station these past couple of days clearing out what they could find in preparation for the new condo to be built on the parcel.
Tanks that have been recovered have already been loaded up on trucks so the job looks to be coming along very quickly at this point. Read more details on the arriving development in our past post: LINK

  2. The architect is PBDW and they seem to do a good job of mediating between modern and historic...
