Another Strivers Row townhouse has appeared on the market this month for the asking price of $799K. The property located on 209 West 138th Street between ACP/7th and FDB/8th has been described as a gut renovations but the photos of the interior show some details worth saving. The 3-story building is apparently chopped up into studio apartments and averages at about 17 foot wide. There is only about 2,724 square foot altogether on the landmark property but details such as moulding and parquet floors are all intact. Records show the building as a 4-family (C3) apartment building and DOB filings still have the SRO restricted designation which is not always up to date. More details on the broker site:

ReplyDeleteI always wonder why these Strivers’ Row buildings seem underpriced. I looked at a lovely one at one point but it quite frankly was too much house for me. It was a bit serious.
