☞ DWELL: 5th on Park Record Sales Set

One of the contracts that were out at 5th on the Park was over the $2 million mark and a current press release has now confirmed that the sale has closed which now makes it the highest priced unit above 111th Street since December 2009. The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath unit closed on August 17, 2011 for $2.149 million. A quick look on Streeteasy shows that there have been 59 sales transactions, 16 contracts out and 16 units are currently available at the new construction: LINK

5th on the Park at 1485 Fifth Avenue has 28 stories altogether and was finished back in 2009 on the corner of 120th Street at the south border of Marcus Garvey Park. The remaining units consist of spacious studios, one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 568 to 2,393 square feet and in price from $395,000 to $1,830,000. 1. So people are actually living in there? I rarely see lights on in the evening or folks going in our out.

  2. abelive, whenever I look over there from the roof the place looks deserted! Fair play though for getting that sale. I think I saw that apartment a couple of years back on one of those neighborhood tours. Stunning views of course. High $700s per sq. ft. very good indeed.

  3. It does look dark at night and I have never seen anyone go in or out but there is significantly increased foot traffic by people obviously on their way to or coming from work on my block and I can only assume they’re coming to and from the subway from that behemoth.
