☞ SEE: More Filming in Harlem

Another film crew was uptown this weekend and was on location at LaSalle and Broadway filming a scene at the corner bodega.  From the permits up on site, it appears that the new police drama on NBC called Prime Suspect was doing a scene at the storefront which falls into the two categories that location scouts like to use Harlem for.  On the the romantic end of it, much of the landmark architecture often is the setting for period pieces like Boardwalk Empire or Midlred Pierce and then there are all the crime dramas which seek out the less historic areas to film.  This past summer also saw the big screen production of the new Spider-Man film shooting underneath the grand viaduct over in Manhattanville: LINK
