☞ READ: New Bike Lanes for East Harlem

The New York Post reports that the Department of Transportation's plan to extend bike lines from lower East Harlem to 125th Street has now been approved by Community Board 11.  New paths will be added in Spring that will start at 96th Street on First Avenue and at 100th Street over on Second Avenue. A few of the small local business voiced concern over the affect that the lanes will have on customers seeking parking but the alternate transportation option on the east side was approved by a large majority: LINK
