☞ REVIVE: More Construction at P.S. 157

The adaptive reuse school building that formerly housed P.S. 157 on St. Nicholas Avenue and 127th Street had a corner sidewalk shed above the subway entrance at the north end of the building for most of the year but scaffolding has now gone up. This rental building was one of the first school conversions uptown and based on DOB permits filed, it appears that the work at hand has to do mostly with the restoration of the terra cotta facade details out front.  The sidewalk shed has been up for most of the year to apparently protect pedestrians and now it looks like the actual repair work has finally started.
