☞ BESPOKE: New Trees & Gardens Along FDB
So there does appear to be some new planting along the wide sidewalks of Frederick Douglass Boulevard these days. We noticed that tree plots had been set up by the Aloft Hotel at 124th Street and the young saplings have recently become even more verdant late in the season. Bright vines and bushes have now spruced up what is typically a square box full of dirt into a miniature garden of sorts that provides a vibrant bit of green space to the surrounding concrete. Harlem Flo is just right next door and we are guessing that the bespoke florist might have something to do with it.

Lovely ! But I hope they protect them in the winter....
ReplyDeleteAnnuals, not perennials, the vines won’t winter over but the small bushes should.
ReplyDeleteAnother such tree plot a block away in front of Harlem Flo's Boutique - I noticed the yellow roses and did find out that indeed, Flo put in the plantings.
