☞ ARCHITECTURE: 100-108 St. Nicholas Avenue
One of the most unique rooflines in Harlem can be found over at 100-108 St. Nicholas Avenue over by the intersection of 115th Street. The co-op building in South Harlem does not have the typical pressed metal cornice but instead has curved ornamentations similar to a bishop's crook. This architectural detail is not a common one uptown and we have not seen it anywhere else in Manhattan. The prewar building apparently has an elevator inside and is one of the many HDFC co-ops to be found in Harlem.
