☞ REVIVE: Activity at 53 West 126th Street
An empty lot on West 126th Street between Fifth Avenue and Lenox now appears to have some construction activity starting up based a photo sent in by a reader. Number 53 West 126th Street was demolished sometimes back in 2009 and is one of a few empty lots in the immediate brownstone block that never so anything rise up during the recession years. There are now plans approved for a 4-story building with a mezzanine and a cellar based on DOB permits that have been posted so expect a modern new construction to fill in this parcel of land in the near future. This block of 126th Street seems to have been mired by stalled developments and there now will be one less undeveloped lot to look at.
