☞ SHOP: Community Farm Share at Karrot

Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative, a non-profit organic farmers’ co-op based out of Lancaster, PA will offer a ten week Winter CSA in Harlem after receiving a huge response for the fall season at Karrot on 117th Street and FDB.  The fall CSA was had 100 participants and some folks had to be turned away so apply for the winter 2012 now to get a spot.  This farm share has been so popular that any other retail outlet wishing to participate as a drop off point has been invited to join the program by getting a minimum of 30 full pantry share participant or 60 half shares.

Winter shares will be delivered beginning the week of January 16, 2012 and will conclude delivery the week of March 19, 2012.

Included in the shares are seven to nine varieties of certified organic, Lancaster County grown winter produce items, a weekly dairy option, and bi-weekly deliveries of eggs and jarred pantry items. Pantry Shares can also be customized to accommodate a vegan diet.
