☞ EAT: Auberge Laurent in the News
Time Out New York just had a write-up on the new Auberge Laurent but the opening date might be a bit premature at this point. Listed under new restaurants set to open by December 7th, Auberge Laurent at 120th and Lenox will apparently not be making its debut so soon. This week's Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association's annual holiday gala was cancelled at the venue since it was not ready (and has moved across the street to Settepani). Otherwise, expect over 200 bottles of wine with a French emphasis to choose from when the eatery does open. Small plate offerings will include savory charcuterie or cheeses alongside sweets with a French flair such as macarons. Read more in Time Out: LINK

Hope this flies. Sounds a bit twee to me but maybe it will be a destination restaurant a la Red Rooster.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have liked something in the line of Express but a cool wine bar would be nice as well.
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope it does well and is priced reasonably. We pretty much stopped going to Red Rooster because it is so expensive. Add to that Cedric and Bad Horse Pizza. There seems to be a huge gap in Harlem between the fast food joints like McDonalds and a place like Red Rooster. Would be nice to have something in the middle. Applebees to be fair do a decent job, but something along the lines of a diner would be nice.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Express?
ReplyDeleteExpress Sanou's mom is a well priced French Bistro on Park and 21st street. Chris I am with you we do need some well priced options a la East Village!!
