Saturday, December 17th, 2:00 PM - 8:30 PM, 10th Annual Coquito Masters at El Barrio and El Teatro. The International Coquito Tasting Federation and El Museo del Barrio celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Coquito competition which judges the best recipe for the Puerto Rican drink served during the holidays.  Taste the 10 finalists' recipes of the month-long Coquito Master Qualifier Series 2011 at tasting sites throughout El Barrio, and add your vote to the ones cast by this year's honorary judges. Sunday, December 18, 11:00 AM–5:00 PM, Posadas y Pastorelas, 8th Annual Mexican Family Celebration at MCNY, 1220 Fifth Avenue at East 103rd Street. .  Get into the holiday spirit a la Mexicana with an afternoon of crafts, music, and food. Highlights include a posada, the traditional singing procession, and a pastorela, the traditional shepherds' play. The event culminates in a party with piסatas and refreshments. Sunday, December 18th, 1:00 PM-3:00 PM, Holiday Greeting Cards Workshop with Alton Weekes at the Studio Museum in Harlem,144 West 125th Street, east of ACP/7th Avenue. Stationery designer and Harlem native Alton Weekes will lead a workshop offering participants the opportunity to create unique, hand-crafted greeting cards for the holidays. Alton will offer personal tips and methods for designing stationery and provide hands on assistance to participants of all skill levels. These cards will make the perfect holiday gift!
