Some businesses in Harlem just seem to open overnight like the new Lenox Coffee shop on 129th Street but the Triangle Cafe on the FDB corridor is a good example of the opposite scenario. After some activity back in 2010 at the Triangle Building on 121st Street, it now appears that the cafe will probably not be open anytime soon since the year is about to wrap up. The lower photo shows the bar area of the interior which looks to have been ready back in November 2011. Does anyone know what's going on with this business?
This seems like the perfect location for a coffee shop (something along the lines of the one on Lenox would be ideal). What a disaster this has been so far. Not much on the interior front so far, but looks pretty cheap.

ReplyDeleteNor was Rice to Riches in Little Italy, but it was the perfect front. You'd be surprised at the shady stuff that goes down with a lot of these properties.

ReplyDelete2. This is very close to the cop shop on a wide avenue with no cover and where anyone coming or going would be visible.
Not that I spend a lot of time thinking about such things.. .
