☞ DWELL: 227 Lenox Up For Auction
A 26-foot wide brownstone building close to the corner of 121st Street in the Mount Morris Historic District will be up for auction in the next coming weeks. Number 227 Lenox Avenue (brownstone at left) will be sold off apparently because of bankruptcy proceedings with an auction planned for early February according to a listing on Streeteasy: LINK. The suggested starting bid for the property formerly used as a church is at $400K for the building with roughly 6,300 square foot in total. Open houses have been scheduled in January for viewing.

Massive building. I wonder why the church went into bankruptcy when it owns this building. Makes no sense at all.
ReplyDeleteAny idea how much something like this is worth?
Would be incredibly lucky to be the person to walk away with this for $400k! I would guess it's worth around $1.5M if it's in poor shape on the interior, much more if it's been renovated.
ReplyDeleteA GREAT Deal !!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I will be attending the auction, hopefully 500K can get it done, although I doubt it. Thanks for this Ulysses.
ReplyDeleteAt 26 feet wide this building will accommodate nice apartments.
