☞ REMEMBER: Ella, Chick & The Savoy circa 1935
A poster from 1935 advertises for the hot ticket of the time which featured the legendary Ella Fitzgerald singing alongside Chick Webb and his orchestra at The Savoy Ballroom. This classic piece of artwork can actually be bought online for anyone who wants a piece of Harlem memorabilia since The Savoy Ballroom at Lenox and West 140th Street is long gone. The preservation efforts of a few Harlem Renaissance hot spots often succumbed to the path of Urban Renewal and residential buildings now sit on the spot where many of Harlem's greatest performed: LINK
