☞ EAT: The 16th Annual Cinco de Mayo Festival
One of the great things about living uptown is the various food cultures and we alway make it over to East Harlem to check out what's being served up during Cinco de Mayo. The blocks between Second Avenue and Lexington Avenue became a massive street fair filled with various vendors of which included many food stands. Tacos, tostadas, roasted corn, fried churros and various grilled items were found throughout our late Sunday afternoon walk. This definitely an event that one needs to go to on an empty stomach since there is so much being offered up. Those who missed this one should check out the Mexican Independence Day Festival in early September.
