☞ INTRODUCING: Cooper-Hewitt Design Center
Saturday, May 12th, 10:30AM, Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the Cooper-Hewitt New Design Center in Harlem, 111 Central Park North and Lenox Avenue. The Cooper-Hewitt Design Center will be home to a variety of the award-winning Education department’s programs, which examine design thinking and highlight the museum’s exhibitions and collections. While the main museum goes under renovations, the new Harlem design center will be the main hub for the institution's interaction with the public by providing free interactive workshops. This weekend's opening ceremony will conclude with a free family friendly Sesame Street workshop which apparently has been sold out already: LINK

What a wonderful addition to our neighborhood - even if only temporarily.
