☞ LISTEN: Peter Mintun at MCNY

Monday, July, 9th, 6:30PM, Around New York: A Concert with Peter Mintun at the Museum of the City of New York,  1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street.  Join MCNY for a musical tour with pianist Peter Mintun, renowned for his encyclopedic knowledge of classical popular songs about New York, its neighborhoods, and its characters. The performance will include George and Ira Gershwin's "Harlem Serenade," Sammy Fain and Lew Brown's "Our Penthouse on Third Avenue," Irving Berlin's "Slumming on Park Avenue," and Harry Warren and Mack Gordon's "Fifth Avenue," and Harry Warren and Al Dubin's "Coney Island." Mintun, who has performed for British royalty and on the soundtrack for HBO's Boardwalk Empire, has a monthly engagement, "Mintun Monday Nights," at Feinstein's at Loews Regency, New York.
