☞ INTRODUCING: More Marriage Equality Support
There was quite a media stir last week when the Chipped Cup received some hate mail for their stand on marriage equality but the West Harlem neighborhood on Broadway appears to be supportive of the coffee shop. Neighboring Harlem Public at 149th put of the marriage equality sign symbol on their doorway this past weekend and the Chipped Cup is doing brisk business as usual. Diversity uptown will always be an important issue and these businesses that show support for the growing LGBT community are now adding some major visibility to some of the issues at hand.

Tonalli also had the equal sign on their little black board. I think it's great to see solidarity between the restaurants in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see these new Harlem spots speaking up for diversity, inclusiveness and civil rights. Also, I love the chalk board included in the facade, a very creative idea.
ReplyDeleteHooray for our neighborhood businesses!
