☞ ARCHITECTURE: A Highline for Harlem

The extremely influential New York City nonprofit organization called The Design Trust for Public Space helped launch downtown's Highline and is now looking for designers to come up with ways to revitalize the unused space under the elevated transportation structures in the city for the public.  A $50,000 grant will be awarded for the best idea that will beautify and engage the neighborhood at large.  The Design Trust for Public Space works with city agencies, community groups and the private sector to make public space ideas happen.  All concepts have to be submitted by May 23rd, 2013 and more details are available on this PDF announcement: LINK
