☞ READ: Lenox Lounge Details to Return

In another dramatic twist of events on the saga of Lenox Lounge, a court has now ordered that the original design details of Lenox Lounge should be returned to the landlord according to the New York Post: LINK.  Everyone has now heard of the rent dispute in which the landlord doubled the rent so the disgruntled business owner of 30 years decided to vacate the space at the end of December in an extreme fashion by ripping out much of the historic details at the lounge just below 125th Street.   The only problem was that Lenox Lounge belonged to the landlord and has been around for 70 years which  is longer than the tenure of the gentleman who ran the business.

This article also revealed that men disguised as police police officers arrived at Lenox Lounge on the last night of the lease and dismantled the iconic establishment.  We are not sure what will happen with Lenox Lounge now but the $50 million lawsuit against the previous owner seems to be making an impact on whether  it will open again further up the Avenue.  As far as the original location goes, it appears everything will be returned for a new restaurant to be open by Nobu's Richard Notari: LINK

  2. Thankfully reason prevails over drama. I hope the iconic red façade is restored that is such a signature of Harlem.
