The new Serengeti Teas & Spices shop at 122nd and FDB/8th Avenue is a good example of a Harlem businesses catching up with the current trends that are happening city wide. Antique and vintage packaging can be found all throughout the store that is reminiscent of European boutique tea parlors like Marriage Frere or imported products found at high end specialty grocers such as Dean and Deluca. The owner has a family import business specializing in African and Asian tea but is also a graphic designer with a keen eye. ReplyDeleteVisited this place on Sunday after reading about it on Harlem Bespoke last week. Wonderful shop, and the teas are unlike any I've ever had. The owner and his wife are fantastic people. Glad to have this shop in the neighborhood. I'll be back again.
