☞ SEE: Bruce Weber Visits Harlem Shake
Photographer Bruce Weber apparently spent a day in Harlem to take digital pictures via a camera phone for some sort of overseas promotional show for Nokia in East London. Notably the fashion icon stopped by Harlem Shake at 124th and Lenox but the images only capture the gritty, urban side of Harlem (which we kind of find cliché at this point). This is the first time Mr. Weber has used and shown work using a camera phone and the entire series can be seen here in this British newspaper: LINK

Curious as to what makes these shots "gritty, urban." These shots show Harlem for what it is--something beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJust saying that we probably can find pictures of kids playing in the fire hydrant water going back to probably the 1940s at least. This is what everyone already thinks New York City is but there is more to the city's neighborhoods than just the cliche.
