SHOP: FARA CHANGES TO LENOX SAPHIRE
The corner eatery that everyone assumed was an extension of Les Ambassades at Lenox and 127th has changed names once again. Back in December, a new sign announcing the arrival of Fara was revealed but now it looks like the establishment will be called Lenox Saphire. As many might remember, the last time any new business tried to use Lenox as part of their name, the owner of Lenox Lounge had sued them to change their moniker. With that said, Lenox Lounge is still out of commission these days and we expect Lenox Sapphire to open by Summer at this rate. Check out our past post to see which new business had to change their name when they first opened on Lenox and 126th a couple of years ago: LINK

Can they not spell? Just saying
ReplyDeleteDid they spell sapphire wrong? Doesn't it have two p's ("sapphire" not "saphire")?
ReplyDeletealmost as embarrassing as that place that used to be on 116th and ACP named "Jamaican and Southern Cousine"
ReplyDeletereally people????
I see an uncanny similarity to the wildly successful Corner Social one block south, imitation is the greatest form of flattery. I wish them every success.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, please fix the spelling, it's not too late (from a self confessed bad speller).
ReplyDeletethey already took the sign down lol
ReplyDeleteNo, it was still up yesterday.
ReplyDeletethe spelling is a variation of a french spelling for sapphire. they had a soft opening today and the place is awful.
