REVIVE: THE EAST 125TH STREET FIREHOUSE

A Bespoke tip came in mentioning that there has been activity at the old Hook & Ladder 14 firehouse on East 125th Street this week.  The above photo shows some sort of equipment being set up within the shuttered station but we have not really seen any work permits for the planned construction.  As mentioned back in 2011, the Caribbean Cultural Center is supposed to eventually move into this official NYC landmark but we have not seen much happening on site for the past two years.  Based on information that is currently on the DOB website, permits apparently have not been filed yet.  More in our past post: LINK
