Il Caffe Latte 145th Street located between Convent Avenue and Amsterdam has been around a year now and is only place on 145th Street that one can really drop into and have a nice casual lunch during the day. We like the old school coffee shop feel to the eatery which has its own kitchen so a hot lunch can be had. Our favorites include the sweet potato fries served up with sandwiches such as the shrimp parm panini (shown) or the always well-cooked burgers on the menu that include vegetarian options. They also serve up really good coffee for those on the go so we always make sure to drop by if we have meetings in this section of Hamilton Heights.
I know I'm going to get crucified for this, but I wish they had regular fries. Otherwise, a great place.
