REMEMBER: A CROSSROAD WITH A VIEW CIRCA 1905
Who can guess the vantage point of the street photo taken around 1905 with a breathtaking vista? One major clue is at the far distance and the other one is to the center right of the photo. The majority of the magnificent cornices are gone but the buildings are still intact today.
UPDATE: As can be seen in the lower photo, this intersection of Amsterdam at 145th Street looks pretty much the same but some details are missing as mentioned before. The Hudson River is at the far distance. Archival image courtesy The Museum of the City of New York
