Corbin Hill Farm share is looking for folks in Harlem to sign on for Winter 2014-2015! Those interested should check out the details below and go to the link to sign up:
The basic Winter Share will be a produce box delivered once a month, on the second Tuesday of the month, from December through March. Each box will include 7-9 items, weighing 15-25 pounds -- think hearty greens, apples, pears, winter squash, white and sweet potatoes, cabbage, carrots, beets, onions, garlic, and greenhouse lettuce.
As always, Corbin Hill picks the produce based on what is in season and grown in New York State using sustainable farming methods.
As you are signing up to be a Winter Shareholder, you will also have the options to sign up for extra share options, including a Dozen Egg Share, a special winter version of our Fruit Share (apples, plus one preserved product), a special winter Bean Share (two types of beans, one pound of each) -- PLUS two new shares, a Dairy Share and Bread Share.
Starting later this week, the Corbin Hill Web Store will also be stocked with a number of a la carte "Add-On" items that we source from the farms in our farmer network. The Web Store will feature sweets, meats and gifts -- i.e., honey, maple syrup, jam, lamb and tea. For January delivery, there will also be the option to purchase whole and half lambs.
