BEST RESTORATION 2014: NUMBER 272 MANHATTAN AVE
We have to point out the incredible restoration of Number 272 Manhattan Avenue for 2014 since it is one of the first long-standing neglected buildings to be completed. The now rental pre-war by 111th Street had been abandoned for many years but work started sometimes in late 2013 after the property was finally sold. Now the missing balustrades have been replaced, new windows added on, interiors gut renovated and the top cornice repaired. Everything looks brand new when all finished up without the strange modern additions that these restoration projects tend to take on.
