SHOP: ACTIVITY AT OLD M&G DINER
Quite some time has passed since the historic M&G Diner shuttered and the landlord has not since been able to find a new tenant for the iconic storefront at the corner of 125th Street by Morningside Avenue. Harlem's oldest diner closed its doors over six years ago and the gutted space has been sitting vacant ever since with "For Rent" posters periodically appearing out front. Earlier in the month, a construction crew tore up the sidewalk at this corner intersection and poured in new concrete. Now the usually exposed interior has brown paper up along all of the windows. Does anyone have an idea of what might be arriving at this location? Hopefully they will get the character aspect of the old signage and keep it as a reminder of the building's past.
