SHOP: STILL NO DEVELOPMENT AT HAMILTON THEATRE
A temporary Halloween shop has come and gone at the landmark Hamilton Theatre building on Broadway at the corner of 146th Street and it appears not much else is happening for the rest of 2014. Earlier in the year, a sign had been strung out front with a contact number but that too is missing nowadays. There had been talks within the community board to possibly encourage condo development here so that the theatre could benefit from the influx of developer financing but nothing seems to have been filed on the DOB site as far as new construction is concerned. Does anyone have any other details here? Read more about efforts to restore the Hamilton in our past post: LINK

Come and gone at least twice, if I am remembering correctly. I'm pretty
ReplyDeleteIt looked like someone was filming in the theatre a week or two ago. Anyone know what that was? Looked like it could possibly have been a music video or commercial.
