REVIVE: LOT FOR SALE ON WEST 128TH STREET

Another lot formerly used for parking in Central Harlem is now up for sale just west of 5th Avenue on 128th Street.  This location is right next to one of the rare wood frame houses still left uptown that has been used as a church over the decades.  Since developers a century ago tended to build multiples dwellings at one time, our guest would be that there probably was a twin townhouse next door when the property was brand new.  Many of the smaller Harlem churches on the side street have purchased similar lots in the past for parking and it would now make sense to sell some of these available spaces.  This would return the parcel back to residential use while raising much needed funds for the religious institutions.
